This is the problem with these Pergo type floors. Ronald is right... Another thing that can cause these floors to crack between the p[lanks is expansion. There needs to be a gap between the floor and the walls, if not when the floor expands it will cause these planks to squeeze together and separate. Is the crack between the pieces of flooring or in the plank itself. You have to take the whole floor up to that point to make any repair....If it is a matter of separation at the point where the two planks snap together you can try to squeeze them back together by pulling the base board parallel to the crack and with a pry bar between floor and wall try to push the floor together.. good luck..
One thing that will cause your Laminate floor to split along the joints is the flooring under laminate has low places. I would take laminate up to point where crack is, and use floor leveling compound if floor is not flat. You can very eaisly check by laying stright edge on floor and make sure there is no low spots. You will need to replace damaged pieces.

You're reading If your wood floors split,(the kind you snap together and lay down),whatever its called,how can you repair that crack? the crack is in between two boards.
