What would you say to someone who is a bad parent complaining about someone else who is a bad parent?

If it bothered me I would most likely walk away because I have moments of bad parenting myself and I would be afraid by commenting I would be creating a never ending circle!!!!!!

When my mother (the wicked old witch) complained that my daughter was letting her youngest child get "dirty," I told Mommie Dearest, "It washes off, and we all have our own parenting styles. I don't think a little dirt on her knees is going to kill the kid. Lay off." M.D. is a germophobe, among other things.

I'd tell them, "I don't gossip, and I don't listen to gossip." Then I'd either change the subject or find someone else to talk to.

The real question should be "what makes someone a bad parent?" Everyone has different values and methods when raising a child. What may be bad to you, may not be bad to another. As long as the child is happy and healthy
