Coffee. I drink coffee everyday (please, please don't nag me, I'm already sure I'm pretty much addicted. Better than drugs, alrighttt?) before and after school. On the weekends when I wake up, and before I go to bed. When I go out to eat and when I stop by some place really quick. I make it at my house, relatives, and even so far as at friends houses. In a house, with a mouse. In a boat with a goat. In a box with a fox... Mmm mmm mmm coffeeeeee.

Frozen White Castle cheeseburgers. WAIT NO STRIKE THAT. That would just set me up for failure in my goal to a healthier lifestyle. Let's say: lobster tails. Low-cal, low-fat, AND has the extra benefit of making you feel sinful when it's really not. (Now the clarified butter...that's a separate issue!)

Apple juice, but not just any apple juice. At my local natural grocery store they sell PURE apple juice (You can't even see through to the other side of the glass).
It's 10$ a gallon (7 for me as a member). A year supply would be very nice.

Preferably a non-perishable food item; I would have some for myself, give some to my family, and donate the rest to a "breadbasket" charity for the homeless and the poor.

Eggs. I go through thousands of eggs every year. I eat eggs. I use eggs in baking. I use eggs in countless recipes. Definitely eggs.

Edit: I am guessing that the bad rating I recieved on this answer came from a chicken.

I would find the most expensive item i could, (probably a meat of some kind like a full slab or ribs, huge family pack of steaks, or a turkey..) And then I would keep about 1/10th of what I got for myself. I would then Donate 1/2 of what I received to needy familes who couldnt afford meat. I would take the remaining 2/5th and sell it and use the profits to buy something else I wanted.

(The fractions add up if you take everything in terms of 10th's and then simplify)

From a strictly dollars and cents point of view, I'd have to select meat.
This is the most expensive part of your grocery bill and delicious.

However, beverages for the family seem to occupy most of my grocery cart's space.

No, forget all that. While I'm living in a fool's paradise, I want full access to the entire assortment of delicious fruits and vegetables in the produce department. These raw foods have recently become so expensive that buying a single bell pepper costs as much as a gallon of gas.

Powdered nonfat milk. With ice it tastes great, and it doesn't go sour if you don't make up more than one glassful at a time.
