  • I'm a little unclear on what you're asking, but, if you mean you want to sort by one column and keep the rows in tact, it's pretty simple: Click what I call the "home" box, the one to the left of column A and above Row 1. This selects the entire spreadsheet. Click on Custom sort, choose which column you want to sort by and click OK. This should sort everything by that column but keep the rows intact.
  • Just make sure you don't have any empty rows or columns columns, click anywhere in your list and sort it. I prefer to use the menu because it gives more control over how the sort works.
