Try change the filter.the one that you have is probably no good and it is not working so well. give that a try and see what happens have a good day. :)

how do you change the water? i change the filter on a weekly basis and the water temp is in the acceptable range of mid 70's. what do i add to keep the algae down? it was a gift to my daughter from her grandfather and i didnt want it for this exact reason, because i was going to end up with responsibility but now i am kind of attached to blue crayfish and the plucatomis.
