At most companies, yes. If you do not have personal auto insurance, a smart person will definetely buy auto rental insurance. If the car is stolen, you pay. If the car is in an auto accident and its your fault, you pay. Here is a thought. i would go to an auto insurance company, like Direct Insurance, and buy the cheapest insurance they offer. It most likely will be much cheaper than auto insurance at a car rental. Then, you will be covered for a period of time.
