  • yea this is a big problem for a lot of people, its even possible to retreave data from years back after a hard drive has been completly formatted if you have the right software. unfortunatly there is a lot of bogus software out there that claim they will remove it totally, its rubbish. i have worked in IT for 10 years and have never come across a way of removing files for good. the best way to do it is to directly save any sensitive data onto a pen drive that no one can access.
  • I agree with moobaa, the most you can do it use a file shredder software and use a high encrypted file software when keeping then on PC if you don't keep on a jumpdrive, on can get them up to 32G now so plenty of space for information, and keep a encryption software on jumpdrive also just for safety Hard drive, only true way of being deleted is to be destroyed as in large hammer,fire etc
