That's a myth. The clitoris and penis (when uncircumcised) have roughly the same number of nerve endings. Also, how can one tell which is more intense? Have you ever been both a male and a female before? Get real here.
The real reason is more likely to be cultural and socially-related. Women are encouraged to express themselves in society. Men are encouraged to man up and be in control. Is it any wonder that men are less likely to let themselves be vulnerable and make some noise during sex?
