Same chance as every other candidate. To be honest, I'm still not sure who I'm voting for. I would rather base it on their ideas and policies rather then who's a democrat and who's a republican. I believe that sometimes our country needs a republican and sometimes we need a democrat. I refuse to listen to "Obama is a terrorist" or "McCain is a racist." I've heard both and to me both ideas are not based on facts and are completely stupid. McCain supporters, saying "Obama is a terrorist" does not help your cause at all. In fact it pisses me off and makes me want to vote for Obama. You don't look smart when you say that. Truth is though, I think both could make fine presidents. I will just have to see.

"Chance"....his "chance" is a 50/50 (if you do not factor in write-in and random candidates and only look at this as a two candidate election).

Is there still potential that he could be elected? Yes. While his poll numbers have decreased, we are still months away from the election and poll numbers typically ebb and flow at this point in the campaign process. It is far too early to write either candidate off. Anyone who does is doing so based on his/her preference for a candidate and not actually looking at how election cycles work.

- Yeahwell, I am sorry if that came across as critical of your question. I was just annoyed with the answers - both ways - that obviously just reflected the Answerers personal political preference and not the reality of the election process.

Yes a very good chance. When people realize he is cunning against a dunce they will wake up. At this time they are pretty even in the polls. After Hussein makes a complete fool of himself overseas that may change.

- Not so much him personally, but his campaign. Since he hasn't actively disavowed or disagreed with it, he's tacitly encouraging it, and therefore showing it himself.

  First was the "quasi-presidential seal", and there have been several times when his campaign has referred to him as the President of the United States, especially on the recent overseas trip.
  .
  I would also call his complete unwillingness to admit he was wrong about the surge arrogance.

He does not have much a chance,look at the polls.He is already starting to make blunders and mistakes,and the nation is tired of 8 years of the Republican order.He will never escape what his party has done to the country.

- I don't hate anyone including the republicans.When Cheney and his sidekick Bush were busy making a mess of anything they were not thinking for the country and people do not want another 4 years of of the same.The republicans carry a lot of negative baggage and McCain has too high of a hill to climb to get over the negative feelings.We never know what to expect from a new president,and I don't know exactly what Obama will do.It is just that he carries himself as expecting to be president and McCain does not.
