No you cannot. When something is written to a CD-R, it's pretty much permanent. You can't edit the file on a CD-R.
If you're CD is still "open" to writing, you may still be able to burn another edited copy of your document to the CD using a burning program.
If I buy the Office Professional Academic 2010 with college student discount, how many computers can I install it on? At least 2?

You're reading Can i edit a word document on a cd-r disc. I can open it but it says read only, when i try to edit it and save it says save in different file name, which i do but then it says cannot edit this document. Is this because I am using a cd-r disc.
