There really is hardly any difference. The wall charger will convert the wattage and voltage to what comes out of the USB port anyway. Just make sure you have a charger with an I.C.C chip that prevents from over and under charging. http://www.inspiretech.com/c-122-iphone-3gs-charger.aspx
Normally the USB ports in the front of a computer are for data only. And the ones in the back are Hi-speed ports. But of course the iPhone will charge negligibly faster through a wall socket adapter.
its about the same so i would go with the wall only because i dont want it to eat my laptop batterie
Yes or no yes if the port is powered like a hub no if it is the port on the back of the computer
