To see how close you are to leveling up, go to your "My Profile" page. From there, look for your level meter which is shaped like the Answerbag logo, to see how far you are from the next level. Here are the first few Titles you can earn, and the Levels at which you earn them:
Level Title 1 Beginner 3 Novice 5 Contributor 10 Wiz 15 Authority 20 Expert 30 Professor -
It depends on the level you're trying to obtain. It increases exponentialy per level.

I need about 2500 points to change level now. The number of points it takes to get to the next level increases with each level you obtain.

The higher your level is, the more points are needed to go up a level. Right now I need 443 more points to fill up my level meter and get to the next level, but if I was at a level in, say, the mid-twenties, 443 would be enough to boost me up a whole one or two levels.

not sure, but just watch the level in the bag, when it fills up, you gain levels.

26 points to level 6. Move your mouse pointer over your level meter bag in your profile.

Each level requires a different number of points to fill the bag. The higher you get the more points you need to fill the bag and move on. Just run your cursor over the bag it will tell you how many points you need for the next level

That changes for each level. At the moment I need 2506 points to reach the next level. [In comparison you have 2076 points in total and have reached level 24. 49 points to go!]

Just run your mouse cursor over your bag on your profile page . It will tell you how many points you need for the next level Edit I need 1526 to level 58 I think

If you hover your mouse pointer over the "level meter" in your profile/activity page, it will disply how many points left until your next level. (The level meter is the bag that will be seen to fill with different colours.)

14,968 points to reach lvl.55. At least the purpose for this is a good one, and I thank the staff for this update. Although I was extremely surprised. Converted to months, I'd need 2 months for reaching level 55. That's a long way.

I'm not sure how many are needed for each level. Right now, I am at level 43, and the My Points section of my profile shows that I need 10,995 points to get to level 44. I am sure that is a system glitch, since each of the other levels I have advanced through has required WAY less than that, and it only took me 6,250 points to get to level 43.

Yeah...earlier this week, I needed less than 30 points for my next level (22)...now I need over 3,200...kind of uncool. Why did they change it?
