In my personal opinion, copyright and trademark laws will not affect the future of user generated content because the marketplace will make sure of that by contracting around the potential problems. For example, we have seen this with You Tube already as deals are lining up. But I think you see this even more so in terms of use or agreements between those willing to contribute content and the web 2.0 providers. For example, when musicians thought they were going to lose their rights on MySpace, MySpace changed their terms of use to clarify the terms as they impact on the concerns. Terms of use become more important in a Web 2.0 environment, both to the contributors and to the providers.
