I'd say hit your local thrift store and snag a pair from an old 80's power suit. You can probably get a jacket for $2 or less.
-
goodwill or salvation army would have them in some old jackets or dresses
-
i'm so into the thrift store scene i'm sure you'll find some there . or try like marshalls ross tj maxx or something like that, occassionally they have something too
-
Also, keep an eye out for estate sales. That usually means somebody older has died, and they usually have a closet full of once-fashionable goods.

Hey, you don't need to justify yourself. If shoulder pads are what you want shoulders is what you should get. I have no clue where they are available ready made but you can always get some sponge and make your own in a worse case scenario. Have you tried your local craft/embroidery stores? They should be your best bet.

-
Try a fabric store. Or, you may be able to find what you're looking for online, especially if its "out of season" (I am in NO WAY trying to ridicule/tease your fashion sense...LOL)
-
Do I need to be a lady to chime in on how un-sexy (to me) shoulder pads are?
-
Man shoulder pads are for NFL players and bad suite jackets that were always gordy and poorly cut from the 1980's no thanks if a chick has broader shoulders than me then she can wear the pants to.
-
yes - they really are that awful :(
-
Shoulder pads can be a bit too much.
-
A good fabric store will have an assortment of shoulder pads of different styles for different armseyes. To get 2" thick ones you may have to combine some to reach that thickness but it's easy to do.
