i dont know who on earth came up with lollicon anime and manga, but i can tell you i find it offensive to say the least. and that's putting it mildly. who in thier right mind wants to see that kind of stuff anyway?
i mean its one thing to be liberal with sensual ideas as far as anime and manga are concerned, but thats going way too far in the wrong direction. and while i can appreciate thing s of an erotic taste in anime and manga such as yuri and yaoi, there is nothing nor could there ever be anything sensual about lolicon anime or manga there's no justification for it. and i think that the artist who make it don't think about what message they are sending about themselves or their obvious lack of taste.
its one thing to show consenting adults in sensual situations of various types because no matter your gender or sexual orientation, adults have all kinds of sexual taste and we should by all means be understanding when its warranted in these matters, because not everyone likes just regular shojo content between just men and women.
yuri and yaoi, that i can deal with because everyone has something kinky that they like, but there is nothing kinky ,sexy, or enticing about lollicon. lolicon is perverse and i for one find it repulsive. and there isnt much that makes me repulsed. to be honest even hentai should have some standards and lollicon is unacceptable material in any forum.
i say this not to judge anyone personally, but normal sexual bounderies are very important even in an entertainment industry like anime and manga. just like it's reasonable and perfectally normal to be repulsed by content involving incest, bestiality, or to the grossest extent necrophillia, and anything involving golden showers and anything that is gross out; lollicon is right on that listof twisted things that people should be against seeing in any form of media.
there are alot of people into some very objectionable things, but i think writers of any form of fiction need to know when they are crossing the line betwen normal or expected sexual norms and perverse material when creating their storylines and drawings.
not knowing the difference is a recipe for you to not only offend but for you to send very negative messages about your sexualtaste and your beliefs about it. sexual freedom and freedom of its expression is one thing to fight for, but to promote anything like lolicon is a poor judgment call on those that make it and those that read or look at it and enjoy it are obvious not thinking of how sick lollicon is. not to mention how it must make parents feel who know a little bit about anime and manga when they come across lolicon anime or manga in some they care about's possession.
