When a guy tells a girl that, he is most likely hoping that the questions will open up a conversation about sex.

Depends on the guy... no real generic answer. me for example, friends all know they can tell me anything and not worry about me telling anyone else. But don't ask for my opinion unless you can handle the chance of a negative answer because i'm going to be honest. Had slightly larger girls tell me about their problem with guys, etc, then ask me if i thought they were fat... i wasn't about to lie. *and i'm not skinny either so this isn't intended to sound mean* but she shouldn't have asked if she didn't want to hear the truth. Some guys dont want to hear anything, just saying that to make you feel like they are a "close" freind and will like them more. So point being, it all depends on the guy and if you trust them.
