I just noticed darts in the sports category, I love playing darts but c'mon is it really considered a sport?

Golf, horseracing and nascar are sports, why not darts?

The line's been blurred between sports and competition. And it doesn't help matters when sports channels show programming like darts, poker, blackjack, dominoes, and rock-paper-scissors. But in my mind, darts (and all of the other things I just mentioned) are not sports.

It has a set of rules by a sanctioned body of some kind. It takes physical skill and they keep score and it's got competition. That's all sports are. Golf is a sport. However hunting is not, it's just an outdoor activity.

It's certainly considered a sport here in the UK. It's very popular! The winners of the competitions receive thousands of pounds in prize money. The venues are packed out every time and the crowds are just as noisy as those at a Brit football game.
