  • Computer engineering, as its will also entail electrical engineering
  • I did an EE B.S. and took many CE classes as well. There are two major differences. An EE degree entails FAR less programming and FAR more math. If you are a more linear thinker and logistics minded person, CE is for you. If you can handle heavy math (keep in mind an EE degree is only a few classes away from a MATH degree, though they do not allow double majors for this very reason) and can think abstractly and handle complex math, then EE is for you. The consensus (and this is verified by my other friends at other universities) is that EE is the hardest Engineering major. CE is basically a mix of CS and EE. CS and EE are considered to be more "pure" fields. Computer architecture is broken in many levels, each one built upon the previous. So at the bottom you have Materials Science, then further up is EE, then CE, then CS. Go with EE - you can work in any field. CE is more limiting.
  • both are same as to my point of view. but the electrical engineering is little with because its consists of all field subjects. but the electrical enginering is only advaisable
  • surely electrical .. i am also doin my electrical grad.. n i see my other friends of other branches like CS and ME.. they are all like last night readers and still get good scores.. but in electrical whoever works really hard only gets the benefit....
  • I think the answer to your questions REALLY depends on what type of EE you are trying to compare to CE. I was a signal processing-DSP undergraduate EE (lots of programming). I was expected to know hardware as well. I took a job as a CE after graduating. Now I'm a EE master's student, but I work in semiconductor physics/electromagnetics. Without a doubt, physics is alot more work than programming, from the math expectations to the time involved in doing experiments vs. writing code.
  • Computer engineering is derived out of electrical engineering.I am B.Tech in electrical and BS in Computers.I felt EE much more tougher than CE. Moreover it provides a wider career scope.
