I have MANY ideas. However, if your CEL flashes for a few seconds, that means that tere is a code stored and you NEED to get that checked out first.
Autozone will read the codes off of any OBDII car for free; most garages charge at least 1/2 hour of labor for this 2-minute task. Start there. You'll be amazed how comprehensive OBDII diagnostics can be. I am prone to misfiring myself if I am forced to put 87-octane in my tank so I occasionally see my own CEL come on. I usually get it checked to verify that that is WHY I got the CEL just in case.
Assuming nothing terrible shows up there, the first two things I reach for are a bottle if injector cleaner and some Iso-Heet (Isopropyl-based dry gas) as our gas stations up here are prone to getting water and crap into their tanks. I am prone to misfiring myself if I am forced to put 87-octane in my tank.
If that doesn't help, there are the spark plugs. I've rarely had a problem there, but it never hurts to check them to see if they're clean or fouled. One time I had that problem and found that one of my plug wires had fallen off, leaving me with only five cylinders.
Speaking of wires, how old are they?
I have a 1989 Buick LeSabre . Neither the A/C or heater blow out the vents when the fan is turned on. The fan itself works fine.

i have a 1987 craftsman gt6000 18.0 hp electric start, and the thing wont make a sound not even a click when i turn the key. got any ideas??

You're reading Hi, i have a Ford Fusion which has just started losing power going up hills and juddering, so I have to drop into 1st for even the smallest of hills and twice my engine management light has flashed for a few seconds - anybody any idea what it could be?
