Will there be a season 4 (book 4) of Avatar: The Last Airbender?

Its coming out july 2010.
Main Events:
AANG finds more airbenders hidden from the invasion of the fire nation 100 years ago.
ZUKO finds his mother.

No there will not be an Avatar Book 4. The series ended at Sozin's Comet when it clearly stated THE END.
There will be 3 movies based on the 3 seasons of Avatar, though directed by M. Night Shyamalan and distributed by Paramount. There is a possibility of minisodes, but no one really knows for sure.
The creators, Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko did confirm that they will try to tie up the loose ends left by the show in the 2008 San Diego Comic Con and also confirmed that this isn't the last time we will be seeing Avatar at the comic cons. There is a huge possibility that this also includes an appearance at the New York Comic Con like they have done last year. I would look forward to that.

i heard something about the legend of kora aang is dead and the new avatar is born she learns to master the elements except for air which she wants to learn from aangs son when i hear this i got sick to my stomach i would be happy wiht a book 4 but about aang so please mike and bryan let book 4 be about aang! this show touched me as a nperosn and iv gotten so attached to it that if aang is gone well. . . i dont know what i would do i probballly go into deprssion thats how much im attahed to avatar

Yes there definitely is because my uncle is really good friends with Michael DiMartino and he tells me there might even be a book 9 or 10 eventually. Because in book 5 he will introduce people from other land. Which will be capable to bend more then just water or earth or fire or air, he wouldn't tell me what they could actually do, but their much more powerful then aang, or the others. But im prett sure he said their going to be goodies but theirs more people outsiders then them. And the good outsiders want aangs help to save his world.

ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhh man freaking short "BEST" anime that exists in the world i think that there shuld be the avatar book 4 .......... REALY I thinkt what awesome anime was avatar....an I waited couple a days to se is there some other NEW episodes.........but when a saw that there will be no more avatar episodes i realy started to cry T_T [even if i have 31 years] i got adicet to this anime.........PLZ BRIAN AND MIKE MAKE MORE AVATAR EPISODES

I really hope there's a book 4 there's so many things that need to be answered. They could get at least another series out of them. i'll be really gutted if there's no more

yes there will be an avatar season 4 because at the 2007 comic con in san diego the creator announced when the question was asked that the show "has a future beyond season three. so yes there will be another season.

also there is going to be several movies coming out
on the series as he said hopefully soon.

No, as far as I know this is the last season. It was always meant to be a trilogy, and the creators are happy with what they have. I think it's for the better this way... the show will always bear good memories and now there won't be a chance of the show becoming warped into something else.

Everything I've heard says no. Supposedly there's the live action movie, but after seeing the last episodes I don't see how much they can cover. I don't think there's enough left in the story for an Air season, although I wish they'd try.

i got an idea,how about this..in one episode Aang died but was revived by katara with her magical water she kept around her neck... how about a animated movie like 20 years in the future with the plot being aang fighting a firernation avatar... since aang died that means the thier must be someone else to take over as the avatar... a fight between two avatars

Okay The Un-Answered Questions , They Should Do Something Like This In The NEW Season. Everyone is well aware of how Aang found out that he can take away ozai's bending from the lion turtle RIGHT? okay so what if he finds a way to help toph see???? i mean she'll get a little carried away because she can see but then she'll be more powerful. Aang could learn how to transfer another benders powers onto a NON-Bender (Sokka) he took them away so why not give them to someone?? And zuko' mom would turn up azula could try being good and she really proves herself to the others BUT she has an evil plot but everyone is really convinced by her. ozai has no powers so he's put to work until azula finds out HOW aang took her fathers powers and how she can get them back to him!

Well obviously there is going to be a Book 4
because at the last part of Sozin's comet (Part 4:Avatar Aang) there is one question still in play: Who and Where is Zukos mother. they cant just leave that question hanging so they are either going to let fans down, wich is highly doubtable, or make book 4. And the reason it said The End is because its the end of the chapter.
so HOPERFULLY they are going to answer some hanging questions in Book 4. hopefully...

it wrapped its self enough, but the every ending where Zuko goes and sees his dad. He asks "where is my mother" and then it fades out... I think that is should have an special episode at the end where Zuko goes and finds his mom.

Plus, can Avatars even have kids, based on my cultural knowledge of China and Japan, it'd probably be forbidden.

Avatars can have kids. Roku was married, and a story arc they didnt touch much was that Zukko was the great grandson of Sozin AND Roku. Thats why he had inner conflicts and stuff. And a fourth book would probably only be released if the movie did awesome. Which I am sure it will.

What Spiazo says actually makes complete sense its kind of like how the world was prior to the discovery of other land they only show a portion of what the earth really is so there could be several more books.

Katara can go and visit her gran-gran Suki and her kioshi warriors can make a global group in honor of Avatar Kioshi. omg thats awesome! i heard from the creators that in book 4: air, the airbenders have been reforming and are preparing to completely obliterate the firenation.

if the don't come out with a book 4 i will go nuts and also but sometme stories are left inthe past as memroies and plus u can go to the stor and by the wholee entire books and also it leaves alot of unaswerd questions as like where is zuko's mother and will there be anymore airenders as like then what happens with aang and katara and i mean what aout toph does anyody care about her! someone said that they are making new one about other people and that they would be zuko and mai childe=ren aloong with anag and katara kids and zuki and sokkas kids and there would be a few new airbenders in the world i hope it comes out if it doesent sometimes people make ur on ending to the story

Now what I don't get with all these comments that say Airbenders are going to kill the Firebenders is this; I thought the firebenders were finally making peace with the world since Zukko took over. (I'm watching the last episode now) I also thought that the series was called Avatar the ~~LAST~~ airbender. Unless Aang has several kids, the chances of more airbenders are slim. (Because it's a gift to be able to bend right? Not everyone can do it.) Plus, can Avatars even have kids, based on my cultural knowledge of China and Japan, it'd probably be forbidden. But I don't know for certain. I don't really need a Book 4, Air, but I'd like it if instead of a new season for the show, they created actual BOOKS, like, for reading, based on the series. Yup there is a 4th season coming out...when...I don't know but info on it has already came out. Its called the Legend of Korra, takes place 70 years after the war. Korra is the new protagonist, the new avatar and is a girl. Heres a picture I found along with the info about the new season :]
