  • In New Zealand 'Yes' change the locks. He has the right to move and not contribute to the house in anyway. He then has no right to invade your living space. If however he does this and you pay all expenses until the property is sold then you will also get a greater percentage from the sale than if you both contributed equally. Keep your lawyer informed of exactly what mortgage payments, insurance etc that you pay so this can be adjusted accordingly.
  • Not sure, depends on which state you live in. If it were me, I would change them because he is A. moving out, B. not going to pay for anything and C. I would feel better knowing he cant walk in anytime he wants. The courts cant expect you to have an open door to someone your divorcing who isnt living there and isnt paying for a thing. It would be a good arguement. Change them.
