I work in radio. What kind of special signal or cue tone are you refering to? If it's the EAS tones, you need a special card to decode it...I can't imagine why you'd want that...it's a very expensive card only for industry use. If it's weatherband, you could just purchase a weather radio that can be set to turn on when the emergency tone is broadcast...but that would be on the old police/fire scanner band. I don't know of any FM (or for that matter AM) radio stations that broadcast any other tones aside from the 19KHz pilot signal that triggers your stereo indicator light. If you want a specific show, just buy a timer to turn the radio on and off at your preset time(s). Please be more specific.
