What are the policies on gays in the military in non-US militaries of the industrialized world? (In the US, it's "don't ask, don't tell".)

most countries don't acknowledge or talk about Gays...so wether it's official or not...it's pretty much 'don't ask, don't tell' every where. in some countries, like middle east...gays are expected to have a wife and family...but usually they have club on the side like a gay club where these men meet...so to society they are straight ... but then be them selves at these 'poker nights'.

They welcome the contributions of the LGBT soldiers (of either gender) without officially requiring them to be hypocritically silent about their inborn orientation.
