  • Neither, apparently, since God teaches nothing but hate against everyone different from yourself.
  • God just want us to be rich be it financially or spiritually and distribute everything WE HAVE to the needy. :)
  • i think god wants you to be thankful... whether its rich or poor, he just wants you to be greatful for what you have :) i am SO proud of my answer right now...i bet my grandmas smiling down on me right now LMAO
  • In the Lord's Prayer, Jesus teaches us to ask "Give us today our daily bread". That means that we ask for enough to feed ourselves. He does not tell us to ask for riches. In fact, it is a Biblical principle not to ask for riches. When the people of Israel were in the desert, they were given enough food to eat. They were ordered not to horde, but to rely on God. In PRoverbs 30:8-9 , it is written Keep falsehood and lies far from me; give me neither poverty nor riches, but give me only my daily bread. 9 Otherwise, I may have too much and disown you and say, 'Who is the LORD ?' Or I may become poor and steal, and so dishonor the name of my God. =============== Those who preach the prosperity doctrine get a basic thing wrong: it is God who possesses the abundance, not us. It is He who distributes it to His people, but, ultimately it belongs to Him. If we have extra, we are to look after it as good stewards. We see in several parables that Jesus criticises the person who buries their talents in the ground ie does not use it for the glory of God. The richness we are to have is spiritual, but we are also to be responsible stewards of whatever God gives us. If we have extra money, make sure it is used wisely, not just stored up for our own pleasure. If we have gifts in other areas (eg music, teaching, preaching, cooking, cleaning....) then we are to use them to the glory of God. And you know what...even with a little wealth, we can do a lot for the glory of God. I am not a wealthy woman, but I support seven orphanages in Bali with time talent and treasure...and God keeps providing more- not for me, but for the kids. And he is extending the number of people involved with me, which means more people can be helped. My income hasn't changed, but many more have been helped by God's riches being poured out.
  • I agree with singwell-is back but taking it easy Because God wants us to be rich spiritually and give thanks to him no matter what situation we are. You don't need to be rich financially because if you belive in God and are rich spiritually he will provide for you
