I have the same problem on my 42" lcd hd tv. One year old. Lost channel 3 after power outage. I found I could get cable on input CMP1, but the dvd/vcr combo won't play on tv. Plus I lost some of the zooming modes.
I have the same problem and seems like a lot of others are having the same problem too. If you find a good answer and fix yours appreciate letting me know so I can fix mine. Thanks
the 37" 42" and 50" lcd's are having major issues with the tuner assy, some bean counter ordered some wrong parts for the tuner and they are dropping like mad - call the rca customer service line (get a cold drink and comfy chair first) and they will see if it's covered by the recall. number will be in your manual & some have on the back of the set

My RCA XL 100 has no instruction booklet and no remote. Is it cable ready as I only get 13 channels even though it's hooked to the cable. Is there a switch or lever to adjust and make it get all stations?

You're reading My RCA television display's unusable signal. I can't get cable or watch dvd's. I also used to watch cable on channel 3 and now my tv isn't even tuned in to get channel 3. What could be wrong and how do I tune in channel 3 again? This is a new 42 inch RCA.
