My 85yr old mother signed a loan for my brother (she has no memory of this)the vehicle was repossessed. I couldnt settle for the $ they wanted and now they say they will put a judgment against my mom, will she have to go to court or can I still settle

    It would be in their best interest to settle the matter, as they want the money and a judgment against your mother -- aside from being cruel -- wouldn't yield much.

    Let them know you can settle the matter with your mother's approval. They really shouldn't care where the money's coming from.
