He had one thing in mind to protect Greece and his people, He too was said to be a great promoter of freedom but unlike Cyrus did not have the lust to conquer and destroy as Cyrus did. He didn't truly help the Jews as he halted the building of their temple in the promised land after rumor's spread of a Jewish revolt.
