  • Youre going to have an amazing time. every cruise is always a memorable event. Dont worry about meals. Thye have 24 hour buffets and extra restaurants and all of it is great!! ya so i would recommend losing a couple pounds before a cruise, cuz youre gonna gain some!! I went on the Royal Caribbean and absolutely loved it but all of them are great. have fun ! :D
  • Congrats on your 1st cruise. You only have 2 choices for 3 days from LA--Carnival and Royal Caribbean and the best time to go is summer/fall as winter can be too cool. The 3 dayers use older ships so read up on each one at cruisecritic.com and decide what meets YOUR criteria. You will have access to food 24 hours day from buffets to snacks to sit down to room service.
  • Depends on your age. I have found that Carnival is themed toward younger people and Royal Caribbean is themed for older folks. Both are excellent. Go in the summer/fall. Food is abundant, just be careful of any fish food that is not cold on the buffett. And, do not play the slot machines onboard. they are extremely tight and will just take your money. Bon Voyage.
  • I would suggest Holland America. My grandparents have been on it several times and have had the best experience out of all the ships. They say the food is delicious, there is so many activities, and the room cleaner even folds your towels into animals (such as an elephant). Have fun on your future cruise :D
  • the party never stopssssss be well rested!!!!!!!!! and live that s*** up!!! lol
  • I've done 20 cruises. Ensenada isn't that far south. So I would go during summet time. It could get cool/cold in Fall and Winter. The only real thing to do in Ensenada is to go to Hussongs and drink. If fact, a 3 day cruise is essentially an excuse to drink. I doubt if they have "formal" nights as far as dressing goes. Bring Purel to avoid Norwalk virus. Also ginger candy to avoid seasickness and whatever you use for hangovers. You might also have more fun if you go with another couple. Beware. The cruise lines make a ton of money on the booze, gambling and photos. You may spend more money on partying than on the actual cruise. Buy the cheapest cabin that you can. You can live without a window for three days. Bring a nightlight. Go for the center of the ship for the most stable ride. Avoid elevators because of the noise.
  • I have cruised on Carnival several times...loved it all. Check out the weather network re: hurricane season...and avoid it. The food is the big hook for cruises....formal dining, informal dining, 24 hour eating, pizza bar, sushi bar.....can' go wrong...wonderful food....and no tipping!
  • Thanks for all your recommendations - you have been very helpful!!!
