Do you need a special license to drive a motorhome or is a standard driver's license sufficient?

That's not necessarily completely true. There are Federal Regulations concerning driving Non Commercial RV's and Licensing required..Usually a Class A or B License. As well as each State is allowed to require more stringent rules. This site here http://changingears.com/rv-sec-state-rv-license.shtml Went to every webpage of every state, and if the answers were confusing, they called the state to inquire further. Most states do not require anything more then the Federal requirements..Some do when it comes to the length, usually 40'+..And Hawaii does regardless of legnth..they require anything from a Class 4 license, to a CDL depending on weight
