Sure, there are kids (usualy grown) who totaly shut their parents/family out of their lives.

kids are kinda like that. my brother has never taken my mom out to eat. He should! I mean he's a 35 year old man and every time my mom takes him, his wife and their 2 daughters my mom pays for everything. She's 65 and really can't afford to.
