Is it true that if we don't think, our brains will shrink?

    Its all about neurological synapse. Without the use of Wikepedia..Neurological synapse are the road map to our brain. They are caused my stimulation of the brain, kind of exercise to the brain. The first three years of our lifes are neurogical synapse are constinently creating new road maps. However when we stop stimulating our brain with new information..it does in a way shrink..because we are not using it or stimulating it:):)

    Perhaps somebody else will have some evidence to back up my opinion, but I agree that our brains shrink with disuse.

    MRIs (and CT scans before that) show very clearly that our brains do not shrink from lack of use. Having said that, there can be parts of the brain that become less responsive to different stimuli when neural pathways aren't reinforced. In another perspective, consider people with brain damage. It's just a part that doesn't light up in the MRI machine when photos flash in front of the patient. It's still there, it's just not being used.

    yess.. Our brain shrinks when we dont think.. its like a piece of iron getting rusted which lie unused..
