    I suppose that if two consenting ADULTS want to use spanking as a sexual thing or foreplay, then that's their business. But, as punishement? He's her husband not her father! If he is punishing her, then it's abusive.

    As of April 2008, there has been no focused research to date into the prevalence of DD or DD-like practices between couples, although the number of DD-oriented discussion groups and forums on the Internet anecdotally suggests the practice is gaining slowly in popularity.

    Practitioners argue that DD is distinct from domestic abuse because consent is involved. Some also argue that it differs from erotic spanking because the object is mainly discipline, rather than sexual arousal.

    Some argue that it is also distinct from the BDSM practice of dominance and submission because it is not an extension of the BDSM subculture and concepts, but of traditional familial practices.

    Spanking does work!! I was spanked a few weeks ago for bouncing a check. After it was over I can tell you I won't be writing checks unless the money is in the account. He deserves to be respected and warned me several times to stop bouncing checks. I got what was comming to me.

    Yes, my husband will spank me but not like those absurd stories online where the wife gets like 50 swats. Usually 2 or 3, once was 6. Not often but when we argue I tend to loose total control and throw things or call him names. He does it to difuse the situation and it works.     In some marriages, where there is a mutual belief that it is necessary and an agreed upon set of rules, it may work. I can't see how, but somehow it works. In mine, however, we don't do that. If there is ever anything like that, we are playing with each other.

    I love to be spanked, but more than that I believe that a domestic discipline relationship is ideal for me. It is not for everyone, but having the guidance, love, and respect for my spouse would be wonderful! Knowing he will discipline me if I'm out of hand or disprectful to him will help me curb my bad habits I wish to change.

    Okay, I don’t mind admitting that my husband spanks me.
    My name is Svetlana, I’m 42 and a supermarket manager, we have two teen daughters, my husband Igor is an engineer.

    No one is the judge on how we work out our problems or situations in our relationship. I am over 35 and I came to him with the idea and it works for us. I would rather be spanked by him and have it over and done with, than to have to hear about it constantly or carry the guilt!! I really don't need an oponion on my life style.
