My advice to you is to stop being so hard on yourself. I can tell you this from experience, hating your legs and body and beating yourself up is a terrible thing to do, it can make your life so miserable. I was very skinny when I was young and I would not get caught dead in shorts, I did not want anybody in this world to see my skinny legs. I was afraid that I would be teased and laughed at. Looking back, I really regret feeling like that about myself. I finally started wearing shorts when I got in my mid 20s, I stopped caring what other people thinks. It makes no difference how thin your legs are, I strongly encourage you to start living in shorts and skirts, wear them everywhere you go. They are very comfortable and you will love them. Summer is almost here, don't spend one minute of it suffering in uncomfortable long pants. You need to develop the attitude that you are doing something for yourself and if anybody don't like it they don't have to look. You should not care one way or the other what total strangers thinks. If somebody makes a rude comment or says something ugly don't respond to them, just ignore them and walk away. Do not under any circumstances let what they say ruin your day. It's possible that your friends might joke with you without meaning any harm. The best way to handle that is to laugh at yourself and show them that nothing they say bothers you. Always keep a smile on your face. Everything is going to be ok, I promise you that. Good luck to you.

Women do bulk up, but not nearly as much as a man's would. Personally, as a guy, I like a little muscle and definition on my women.

I'd suggest lifting some weights in the form of squats and calf raises. (You can google these two exercises to learn how to do them)

To build muscle, which will fix the "skinny" problem, aim for working with enough weight that you experience muscular failure at 8-12 reps. (muscular failure is where no matter how hard you try, you just can't lift the weight one more time) Do 4 sets of these every other day. Stop when your thighs and calves are about as big as you'd like, then focus on definition.

To define and sculpt your muscle bulk you need to lift less weight more, so work with an amount of weight that lets your muscles fail at about 20-25 reps. Do 4-6 sets every other day. Once a week continue to do your heavy lifts (8-12 reps) so you maintain your muscle bulk.

Doing this you shouldn't bulk up so much that you look like the Hulk, but you'll have enough muscle and definition that you'll definately WOW yourself and others.

    Good luck,

From a 'dressing' standpoint, you can always emphasize another part of your body, and 'play down' your legs.......Try wearing colors that are close to one another in tone or shade.....wear colorful tops, scarves, earrings, necklaces, etc., to draw the eye up and away from your legs...

I know this was not the type of answer you were looking for, but I figure anything that can help your appearance just might be ok!!!!!!!!!!!

Women do not become bulky from weight lifting. I don't know where people get this from! You need testosterone to become huge like a man. I've been lifting weights for almost 7 months, I see definition, but no bulkiness.

Start doing some weight training.. It won't hinder, it'll help. Good luck!
