  • Problem is, if you received it you need to pay it. The choice is yours.
  • Let's clean up some ambiguities here. Were you married yet when the parking violation took place? If not, then the name thing clearly doesn't matter. But even if you were already married, trying to dodge the ticket on the name grounds probably won't work. (If it's an expensive ticket, it might be worth trying, but since there's no points for a parking violation, you might as well pay a low-fine ticket.) Did you commit a violation in Hawaii, or was it a violation involving your car that took place while you were out of state? In the former case, you're still responsible regardless of where you actually live. In the latter case, who was driving the car? If it's someone that you know, get them to pay the ticket (if they refuse, you're probably stuck for it, but you could try arguing if it's worth your time in court). If the car was stolen, that's a valid defense.
