    Zero much. Wild animals, jungles, bugs, heat..not for me. I don't like to go camping either. I like a comfy bed, a nice shower and to be clean..I'd be a terrible candidate for a safari..I believe I'd be moaning and groaning from day one! :) ((hugs))

    When I was a small child, from 4 to about 9 years old, my Dad used to tell us:
    "One day, we're going to Africa on a safari. And your Mother and I are going to Paris."

    One time I heard those remarks and I asked, "Dad, when we go, are we going to shoot animals?"

    In his infinite wisdom, my Dad, quickly replied, "No, son. We're not going to shoot them with a gun. We'll shoot them with a camera."

    I asked, "How come?"

    In a very calm voice, Dad said, "Because I hunted the hardest kind of animals - the kind that shoots back. I hunted our enemies overseas in the War."
    My Dad is a decorated veteran of World War 2.

    To answer your Q, I WOULD LOVE to go on an African safari with my Dad and brothers.

    As far as Mom and Dad going to Paris? I THINK our parents did that.

    No. A friend of a friend was on safari and his campground was attacked by raiders. Four people were killed including one of the tourists. I'm striking safaris off the list of things to do until the region settles down.
