Because when we love, it comes from the heart. Hence the heart representing love..Did that make sense?

Love is an emotion that originate only 12" from the brain. Just as other emotions cause us to act before thinking. thus the saying, 'swept off my feet' by a good looking person, in every way...once we act the brain will justify the emotion for us by categorizing it based on our character. Like contractors whom measure twice, cut once to avoid mistakes, we should think twice and act once. "the heart will always lie to the brain" you heard it hear first...
