  • I don't think so. I do think people are being label as appeasers and apologists, but not terrorists.
  • Yes, we are sadly living in a new McCarthyist time. Though I do think it's on the decline. A couple years ago it was worse.
  • I agree with you completely.
  • I think that two quarter mile high buildings being knocked down in the middle of Manhattan is a little hard to ignore. And I don't think I want to live the way people in Israel live everyday. I had two Irish friends back in the eighties. I don't think I want to live the way they did either. We had actual acts of war against us seven years ago. The perpetrators were ill defined, so we can't go after then as directly as we went after the perpetrators of Pearl Harbor. That being the case, we can't wrap it up as neatly as you might want. But I haven't seen anyone being blacklisted, put out of work or called up before congress for anti-American activities. There were an awful lot of people in Hollywood in the fifties who never worked again for secretly disagreeing with Senator McCarthy. The FBI was poking around looking for evidence of things they had done fifteen to twenty years before for evidence. There have been quite a few actors and actresses publically disagreeing with the war on terror. I haven't seen them disappear. Have you? I think it is awfully easy to throw labels around.
