  • It just takes time. An exercise routine will help. It took me almost 2 years to get my lung capacity back up to anything close to what it used to be. Granted I smoked longer than you, and WAY more per day.

  • Actually, your lungs begin to heal immediatley after you stop. Continue a healthy lifestyle and you will be fine. My dad smoked three packs a day for 35 years and quit and is 75 years old and doing great.
