I was a smoker and now that i quit i would like to know what kind of methods that i can follow to re-energise my lungs that might have got spoiled due to smoking.i was a smoker for the last three years.i used to smoke atleast 6-7 cigarettes a day.

    Actually, your lungs begin to heal immediatley after you stop. Continue a healthy lifestyle and you will be fine. My dad smoked three packs a day for 35 years and quit and is 75 years old and doing great.

    You could try practising yoga, focussing on the Pranayama (breathing exercises) and the Asanas (postures.)

    It just takes time. An exercise routine will help. It took me almost 2 years to get my lung capacity back up to anything close to what it used to be. Granted I smoked longer than you, and WAY more per day.
