Does it ever irritate you when you write a really good answer for a question and then you get no points or recognition?

Only when someone with a lame or irrelevant answer gets points. Other than that, I don't really answer for the points, though they are appreciated.

I would spend a ridiculous amount of time being irritated if that was the case. I have + 1,400 unrated answers. Granted not all are gems, but still... ; )

It is not worth getting annoyed about it .I am afraid if you look through you will see that some people NEVER rate any of the answers given. They just collect the asking points and never go back to the question. Other people ask a question and then leave the site or they are old questions brought up and the person is no longer a member. There are too many reasons to get annoyed.
