No, I think you can only do that on Google Video. The one way that you can is through http://javimoya.com/blog/youtube_en.php

Not directly from Youtube, but you can using another online tool: 1. Go to www.keepvid.com 2. Paste the youtube URL of the video you want to download into the box and hit download. 3. The file downloads as an .FLV file. 4. Use an FLV video viewer to watch your downloaded youtube video!

It is a pity that one can't download YouTube videos to computer. YouTube's video player is designed to be used within your browser as an Internet experience. I use xilisoft youtube video converter to download youtube video. The software also allow me to convert youtube video to ipod, iphone.

Yes, use Youtube downloader http://video.qooqle.jp/dl/

You could try to download it off of Limewire, but I'm not sure if that's entirely legal. There is another way to do it too though. 1) Go to http://www.keepvid.com/ and type in the URL of the video you want to download. 2) Hit download. 3) A new page will come up. It will give you the option to download the video. When it asks you for a file name, add .flv to it. 4) It'll download in .flv, which isn't compatible with a lot of computers. So, you won't be able to watch it just yet. 5) Go to http://www.download.com/FLV-Player/3000-2139_4-10505954.html and download the .flv player. Now, you'll be able to watch those videos on your computer!! If you want to convert those videos to .avi or .wmv or something, download the demo version of the replay converter when the option comes up. 6) Now you can convert your video to .wmv and other types of files. Since it's a demo, it only converts the first 90 seconds of a video though. So, I did some research and found this site. http://vixy.net/ It's like Keepvid. Put your URL in the box, but instead of just being able to download it, this one will convert it too. So select what you want it to convert to, and it'll convert it for you, saving all the hassle of downloading the .flv player and replay converter. Depending on what you're trying to convert, it may take a while, but it will convert. It also may take a while to download the video. The only reason I didn't mention this one first is it's still beta and everything...

this may be wrong but there's a software known as tubehunter that can do it for you. Also sites like keepvid and javimoya help too.

There are several ways to do this. One of which is the use of a program to specifically download the video from youtube, for example Youtube Downloader or the Keepvid program mentioned in another answer. What I do however, is look in my Temporary Internet Files and get the video from there. If you watch a Youtube video, it gets downloaded to your computer into this folder. Unfortunately, for Windows Vista, it's a bit harder to access than in previous Windows versions. Make sure you can view hidden files and folders. To do this, go to the Tools menu when in a folder, such as My Computer. In the Tools menu, choose Folder Options. Click on the View tab and Select Show hidden files and folders. My Computer-> (your hard drive, usually C:)-> USers -> (your name, e.g. my name is Chris) -> Appdata -> Local -> Microsoft -> Windows -> Temporary Internet Files. Now, for security reasons, windows doesn't show the whole contents. So in the bar at the top that says which folder you are in (it should say C:UsersChrisAppDataLocalMicrosoftWindowsTemporary Internet Files), click and get your cursor to the end of the text, then type low (so the whole line now reads C:UsersChrisAppDataLocalMicrosoftWindowsTemporary Internet Fileslow Then press Enter. A new set of folders should appear, one of which is called Content.IE5. Open this one and there will be a load of folders (depending on how long it has been since you cleaned out your temporary files) with daft names like QVG61T1G. The videos are stored in these folders, and from Youtube are called getvideo[1] or similar. This is the file you want. Copy and Paste it to whereever you want to save it, then rename it to whatever, but make sure it ends in .flv since it is an FLV file. You can play FLV files with VLC media player, a wonderful free player that also lets you play DVDs region free as well as most other media files. You can download it for free here http://www.videolan.org/vlc/
