  • The answer depends on the laws of the location of the property and the eviction laws of that location. Laws differ greatly from place to place and without being specific about a location only generaisations are possible.
  • Go to the bank that forclosed the property and ask them if you may get your things out of the apartment. Usually they will let you as this creates less of a hassel for them cleaning the place out.
  • Never heard of such a short notice for a paying tenent. It would seem the bank would want your rent and income to continue. Pretty strange philosophy they have unless they are preparing to change it into a retirement home and increase their profits.
  • I don't think change of ownership gives them the right to evict you on such short notice. But that's just my guess.
