  • hi,i find it hard to believe in anything that can't be proved, apart from that i don't see why the human race thinks it's so special that life isn't enough, and when they die as everything else on the planet does, they go somewhere else.i think alot of it is brought on by the fear of death, which is the other part of life..regards..tessa5
  • I see no reason to believe in a god. It's as simple as that.
  • I do believe in God.
  • I did for 35 years but after all those years of unanswered prayer, judgments from Christians/church people on how because I suffer from a mental illness..I am demon possessed and a sinner (cause depression is of Satan). Years of expecting this God of love, compassion, caring, etc to help me and surprise, he didn't. Years of being scared into submission by using Hell as a threat..I was sick of it. Life is so much better now
  • There is no god. If there was a god my life wouldn't be such a shithole.
  • I got fed up going to church all of those years and hearing about all of those a$$hole preachers didn't help matters.
  • because the world would be a better place to live in if he or she exsisted.
  • There's no logical reason to believe.
  • Apart from fear of the unknown, I have not been given a good reason to believe in God.
  • Why don't you believe in the Tooth Fairy? I don't believe in god for the same reason. +5
  • ...because the Bible tells me so, so I do believe.
  • i do beleive in God
  • I do belive in God!
  • People ask me this question all of the time. All of the answers here are very good and I agree with most of them! The thing I don’t understand is the resentment I get from people who do believe there is a God. They think I am lost? Misguided? Have no faith? I find it narrow-minded. I have nothing against people’s beliefs and respect their decisions. I believe in the here and now, the people who love me and support me, who are there for me everyday.. and who remind me of that! I believe in myself.. I believe the only person who can make my life what I want it to be is ME!
  • Well theres only suppose to be one god but people get killed everyday over whos god is better just like gangs. then theres the all time question where did god come from? nothing cant create something.
  • Because there is no evidence of his existence.
  • The total lack of any evidence for such an outrageous claim.
  • Yo' mama said so! ;-)
  • simply there is no sientific proof there and that it is simply an rediculous idea that there is some all powerfull being controling us its just dosent add up to me
  • I did for 35 years but in all that time I never saw any evidence of his love, compassion, miracles, answered prayers, etc. that he promised in the BIBLE. Nor joy nor peace. All I ever got was fear and judgement and a bunch of excuses on why God refused to help me so I said forget it: there is a reason God hasn't helped..he isn't real
  • Atheism is not a belief. It's a lack of belief. I lack belief in a god.
  • There's a difference between believing there is no God, and not believing there is a God. Before I'll believe anything, I need some sort of reason for it. I haven't found any reason for believing there is a God, so I don't believe it. It's the simplest thing in the world really. From your spelling of "God" I take it you're a Christian. Then why do you not believe in Odin? If you can answer that then you know why I don't believe in Yahweh. Of all the tens of thousands of Gods you could believe in, you believe in only one - you're 99.99% atheist yourself and you should be able to understand why some of us go for that extra 0.01%.
  • I do not believe in a god for the same reasons I don't believe Captain Kirk is real. There is no evidence and there is no reason to believe.
  • "Atheism, as an explicit position, can be either the affirmation of the nonexistence of gods, or the rejection of theism. It is also defined more broadly as an absence of belief in deities, or nontheism. Many self-described atheists are skeptical of all supernatural beings and cite a lack of empirical evidence for the existence of deities. Others argue for atheism on philosophical, social or historical grounds. Although many self-described atheists tend toward secular philosophies such as humanism and naturalism, there is no one ideology or set of behaviors to which all atheists adhere; and some religions, such as Jainism and Buddhism, do not require belief in a personal god." Source and further information: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atheism For me, there is no evidence for a personal god. And I don't have a belief for one.
  • Because I'm an atheist.
