  • About half as bad as a "Prince Albert"
  • Mine didnt hurt at all, but it really depends on high your tolerence of pain is. Biting your tongue hurts worse than the actual piercing process
  • Mine hardly Hurt.. it hurt less then having my Ears Pierced !!
  • Half as bad as a Prince Albert? Compared to my PA, the tongue piercing was a walk in the park...! It hardly hurts at all. When you bite your tongue when eating, that pain is considerably worse than the piercing.. Just make sure to drink plenty of cold water and you'll be fine.
  • I just got my tongue pierced and the piercing procedure itself was NOTHING!! i wa soo surprised, and haha was bracing myself for a jolt of pain as the needle went through my tongue. The "pain" may come later, when it swells a bit, but as long as you keep on popping the pain killers and taking care of it for a few days, it will be fine. :)
  • It's one of the less painful piercings.
  • i got my tongue pierced about a year and a half ago, was extremely nervous before-hand, but everything was fine. you can ask the piercer to numb your tongue first, this is when they spray your tongue with an anaethetic (this usually costs a couple of quid more though). seeing as i had mine numbed, it didn't really hurt too much, i could feel what was going on but wasn't in too much discomfoft. to be honest my nose piercing hurt more. most important things to remember are to eat ice after you've had it done, and it also helps to take some ibuprofen immediatly after as this is an anti-inflammatory. good luck.
