no one here can diagnose you very well. go see somebody. no one will condemn you for it and the fact that you simply spoke with someone about it will not hover around you for the rest of your life. if you feel like something is not right, get it checked out before it goes so far you can't fix it.

You first need a complete physical to rule out any other possible conditions.Bipolar disorder is not easy to diagnose because there may be other illnesses that mimic the same symptoms. Ex.: thyroid problems. Once other things are ruled out you need to have an assessment to describe you symptoms, experiences, and behaviors that will help them with a correct diagnosis. A bipolar is also called manic-depression. During a manic episode you may do certain behavior that would be recognizable as the illness. Ask your friends what they notice about you when you "feel great". Try to make a list of these things so you can tell a professional. Also note what you do when you feel "down". A bipolar goes through EXTREMES (highs and lows). It is nothing more than a bio-chemical imbalance, so don't let the term scare you.

Debee's advice is excellent. Start with that. Don't try to diagnose yourself. When you talk with your friends, remember that they are not therapists, but they can give your their perceptions (impressions), which you can then disclose to your doctor. I had a woman friend who was bipolar and she ranged from suicidal to grinning like a Cheshire cat. It was unnerving. It's like mood swings x 1000. As debee wrote, it's a physical condition that requires medical attention. Do it.

I would bet that you are under thirty, probably early twenties or younger. I don't mean that as a put down. I work with Bi polar individuals, real ones. One day they want to kill themselves, the next three days they run their credit cards up to the hilt building a tower to Jesus. I think that you're just having normal emotions. Give me more details if you wish.

Do a three day fast and see how you feel. It might be related to what you are eating. go for walks while on your fast to pump oxygen into your brain cells.

Sounds more like 'normal' adolescence than Bipolar Affectve Disorder to me?! - [and I make a livin' outta tellin' the difference!] - ;-)
