So, there was "something" there before the Big Bang....it is way, way , way beyond our heads. It is the concept of Eternity....to think that something has ALWAYS been there...with no beginning or ending. So, maybe God created the Big Bang....who knows.....

I am not a Doctor of Physics. It's not my job to generate and test this theory. It is, however, my responsibilty to educate myself to the point where I can understand the concept and make an educated decision based on the information. The origin of the big bang is under debate, that is why it is a theory. The concept of a god as the origin of the universe has not even made it past the thesis stage. If god were a theory, the concept would be globally agreed upon and tested independantly by all leaders in the field. So when the pope, morman leaders, evangelicals, Hindis, Muslims, etc, etc, etc, etc. all agree on a single god concept, and a potential method for this concept to have created the universe, then it can move to they hypothosis stage. Once tested and fairly well proven, god can become a theory.

they believe the big bang created life on this specific planet not the entire universe the universe just IS, its space, thats why its called space :)
