  • This may sound silly, but one of the best ways to master any skill is to find another different, but related skill and learn it. This creates analogies for you to learn from as you practice the original skill (throwing the ball). This is why there was a huge craze in the 80's for football players to "cross-train" in ballet to increase agility and stamina. What you're trying to "cross-train" here is hand-eye coordination and "leading" a target. Both are components of marksmanship, so darts would help, as would a rifle range (especially with moving targets). The key is to have the mentality that your focus is to improve your throwing THROUGH the other things you do. Practice everywhere with everything at your disposal.
