  • Did this start immediately after you were eating? You may indeed have something stuck in your throat. If not, it could be an ellergic reaction or the start of an infection like strep throat... ...you need to go to the doctor, an ER, or an urgent care facility.
  • No. The feeling started slowly about a week ago. Food and drink makes the feeling go away but seconds later it comes back. I am now not hungry, the last 3 days I have been forcing myself to eat, but hunger (the feeling) doesn't come. Its just getting so annoying that I am getting aggrivated. I don't have insurance so I am debating if its my mind or serious because I will have to pay to go to the ER.
  • I understand. It sucks not to have any insurance. This 'lump in the throat feeling' can also be a symptom of anxiety or a panic attack...that might be why it feels like your airway is blocked... ...still, it would probably be worth it (just for the peace of mind) to visit the ER...
  • get your thyroid checked, i had that same feeling and had thyroid cancer. do you notice your neck is bigger than the average person even if it isnt get it checked
