i had the same problem with my 1980 chevy, i put a toggle switch on it and it worked. it could be your ignition switch which i havnt got around to change yet. run from your toggle to your pos. battery and run from your toggle to s side of your starter and b sure to put an inline fuse turn ignition and hit toggle it should start
Starter relay or maybe ignition switch. Try checking voltage at starter with someone turning key to start position. Then work back from there. Mr Bill

I have a 1966 Chevrolet pickup with a three speed shifter on the column. I would like to change it to three speed on the floor. Do I have to change the entire transmission or can I just change the linkage setup?

You're reading I have a 79 chevy pickup with a 355 chevy small block. Recently for some reason won't start, not even a click. New battery, alternator ok, starter ok, hot wire and ground wire ok. fusible links ok. neutral park switch ok. Any suggestions?
