It means you are not being careful enough to not break a mirror.

In Hindus, they say that breaking mirror brings bad-luck. But again, my grandmother used to say that you should keep the biggest piece amongst the broken pieces and throw the rest away. That would somewhat nullify the bad-luck. After all, it is superstition - as considered by few people.

It means you've got a big cleanup job coming and be sure to get all the little pieces. Wouldn't want to step on one.

It would mean that for the day you have to be extra careful as your motor nerve is not fully connected to your brain.ie you lack concentration. One accident can lead to another accident small or big.Relax and pull yourself together.Things will be fine when you regain your consciousness and be more alert at doing things.

Once when I was 20 I broke an 80 year old large family Belgian mirror. My father said nothing. He just helped me clean up. We all felt sad but knowing it was an accident no one blamed me. That should be the right attitude where accidents are concerned.

May be a bit of a late answer but it doesnt mean anything.there is a superstition of 7 years bad luck attatched to it, but if that was the case i would have hundreds of thousands of bad years of luck as i have been a glass cutter for years which involves throwing and breaking mirrors everyday.(im a fairly lucky person)

It means that you had an accident. You might be just a bit clumsy or tired. You will definitely have a mess to clean up.

Superstition states that breaking a mirror results in 7 years of bad luck.

I think the superstition has something to do with the cost of a mirror and the amount of time it took to save up for one.
