My secret ingrediant is viewing many questions through the eyes of an abuse victim. I never want to forget, because it helps me show others how to get through thier own hard times ina really unique way. It doesn't have to be hard!

Oh, yeah....in the kitchen it's tons of garlic! HAAHAHA!

Many folks don't use this at all, BUT I use the same "secret" ingredient in the kitchen as I do in every other thing I do and every aspect of life:
    I LOVE using my imagination!

Sometimes things work out pretty well. At others the results aren't exactly what I was expecting. YET I learn!

Thanks for asking your Q! I enjoyed answering it!

Salt and pepper, is the single most important thing you can add to your food to make it delicious instead of bland (savoury food that is)

    Just a dash of Cinnamon.
If there is enough for any but the most discriminate and sensitive of palates to actually identify (i.e. Gordon Ramsey or a trained bloodhound), I used too much.

    Kosher salt.

My next most useful 'secret' ingredient is restraint. If I can't think of a really good reason to add it, I won't.

    "Good Oil"!

Its legal hemp seed oil, sold in all the big UK supermarkets. High Omega 3. 6, 9; just 10ml has as much GLA as 6 Evening Primrose capsules (the website says) plus I think it has a gorgeous nutty taste like walnuts and Christmas cake.

Can't cook with it (that undoes all the health benefits), but if there's a chance to drizzle, or toss a salad, this makes olive oil so BORING by comparison.

    My very favourite secret ingredient.

Eccentricity: 'What, you put peanut butter in your strawberry ice cream/English mustard in your cheese sauce/Chocolate in your gravy?!' 'Why yes, it perfectly complements the fruity tones/adds the perfect bite to the sauce/really enriches the gravy (just a touch though, of the dark variety)

other than that, I do love cucumber and pickle sandwiches. Pickle's another great ingredient.

Thanks very much, I'm so hungry now I have to go all the way to the kitchen and get some food!

It's really no secret at all. I pay attention to what I'm doing, and taste at each step. Also note that burners on most stoves have dials, and you don't always need to cook at full whack.
